I suspect that, like its last question, Yahoo! thinks we are neophytes stumbling through a dark and non-Euclidian cyberscape where every square inch of air is composed of a different gas and websites come rising up at us from all angles like crazed shadows, but that is not how the Internet works: everywhere I go, I get there by the clean, brightly-lit street of a hyperlink from a person or site I already trust. It's linear. I can get to webcomic X via webcomic Y via webcomic Z. I also suspect that Yahoo! wants to use this as some kind of lead-in to tout its customizable homepage, a godforsaken mess of linkage snarled in ads and irrelevancy.
